Scorpio Entertainment was established in the fall of 2005 by Edward Daniels,
an award-winning actor and entertainer in the Washington, DC metropolitan
area. Daniels began his career in music as a radio announcer at the age of
16. As a supplement to his career in theatre, upon moving to DC, he began
work as a karaoke host at Freddie’s Beach Bar in Arlington, VA. He produced
the highly successful Karaoke Largo contest in 2005, which was featured in
the Nightlife section of the Washington Post.
Daniels went on to become Entertainment Director at FoodBarDC, where he
produced Monday Night Karaoke as well as Thursday Night Trivia, two
extremely successful events. His 2006 Ultimate Trivia Challenge packed the
local bar and also received mention in the Washington Post. After several
requests from patrons, ranging from business professionals to Bachelorette
parties, to entertain and produce private events, Daniels ventured out as a
sole proprietor and Scorpio Entertainment was born.
Scorpio Entertainment produces a myriad of events each year ranging from
Sweet 16s to Platinum Weddings, from residential pool parties to campaign
victory rallies on Capitol Hill. Our music library contains over 15,000 titles,
including the Top 40 Billboard singles from the past 35 years, including
genres ranging from Pop, Retro 70s, 80s, & 90s, Rock, R&B, Hip Hop,
Techno, Reggae, Dancehall, House, Motown, Oldies and more.
Our staff of professional DJs each has a unique style of entertaining which
focuses primarily on the crowd for which he or she is playing. Each associate
travels with the most state-of-the-art equipment and our company boasts a
vast inventory of dramatic lighting and special effects, which help to transform
and enhance any event in production.
Scorpio Entertainment’s hallmark is to customize and produce amazing
events which feature music and activity that delight, exceed expectations, and
